This Privacy Policy explains how Valdemar ("we", "us") handles your information when you use HeadDuel (the "App"), our collection of two-player games. By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.
01Who we are

02Information we collect
We aim to collect only what's needed to run the games. Depending on how you play, this may include:
- Account basics — your email address and a display name. You sign up with an email and password (your password is stored securely and never in plain text), and we email you a link to verify your address. Guest play (using the App without an account) is coming soon.
- Gameplay data — scores, match history, and progress so we can run matches and rematches.
- Friends & invites — if you invite someone or add a friend, we store that connection so you can play together.
- Device & technical data — app version and basic device/OS information, plus a secure sign-in token stored on your device to keep you logged in.
- Diagnostics — basic error and usage logs that help us fix bugs and improve the App.
We do not sell your personal information. The App currently contains no advertising and no in-app purchases. In the future we may show minimal advertising to help cover hosting costs; if we do, we'll update this policy first.
03How we use your information
- To create matches, keep score, and let you play against friends or random opponents.
- To sync your progress across sessions and devices.
- To send gameplay notifications (for example, "it's your turn") where you've allowed them.
- To keep the App secure, prevent abuse, and diagnose crashes.
04How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it with advertisers. Your account and gameplay data are stored on secure servers we operate. We use a limited number of standard service providers (such as hosting and network infrastructure) that process data only on our behalf and under confidentiality obligations. We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our players.
05Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must keep limited records to comply with legal obligations.
06Your rights & choices
Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR in Europe and the CCPA in California), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these, email us at [email protected]. You can delete your account and associated data at any time from within the App or by contacting us.
07Children's privacy
HeadDuel is intended for a general audience aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
08Security & international transfers
We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information, though no method of transmission is completely secure. Your data may be processed in countries other than your own; where required, we use appropriate protections for those transfers.
09Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the new version here and update the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will be highlighted in the App.
